Effective date: July 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Swipe File Chrome extension (the “Extension”), provided by InformationSystems, LLC (“Information Systems,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information.
What the Extension does
The Extension lets an authenticated user save an individual advertisement from the public Meta Ad Library to the user’s own connected Information Systems platform. It operates only when the user clicks the save button on an ad.
Information the Extension handles
- Public ad content selected by you: the ad text, public library identifier, and image or video for the specific ad you choose to save.
- Connection information: the address of the platform you connect and the connection key issued by that platform.
- Preference information: the board or destination you last selected.
The Extension does not collect your Facebook login, feed, private messages, friends, contacts, or general browsing history. It does not collect ads in the background or in bulk.
How information is used
Information is used only to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Extension’s single disclosed purpose: saving an ad that you selected to your connected platform.
Where information goes
Selected ad content is sent only to the platform address that you connected. The Extension does not operate an independent advertising, analytics, or data-broker relay. Authorized administrators and service providers of the connected platform may process the saved content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and maintain the swipe-file feature.
We do not sell Extension data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Browser permissions
- Meta Ad Library access: used to display the save control and read the public ad you explicitly select.
- Meta media-host access: used to retrieve the selected ad’s image or video because public creative links may expire.
- Storage: used to remember your connected platform address, connection key, and last selected board.
- Optional site access: requested only for the platform domain you choose, so the Extension can connect and send the selected ad there.
- Scripting: used on the connected platform’s administrative connection page to complete the connection without requiring you to copy and paste a secret key.
Retention and your controls
The platform address, connection key, and preference information remain in your browser until you disconnect, clear the Extension’s data, or uninstall it. Disconnecting erases the locally stored connection information. You can generate a new connection key from your platform to invalidate the old key. Saved ads remain on the connected platform until you or an authorized platform administrator deletes them under that platform’s controls and retention rules.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received by Swipe File complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide or improve the Extension’s disclosed single purpose, transferred only as necessary to provide that purpose or as required for security or law, and is not used for personalized advertising.
Children
The Extension is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the Extension.
Changes
We may update this policy when the Extension or applicable requirements change. We will update the effective date above and provide any additional notice required by law.
